Sergio, charming man, responsible for 3 of my 5 EG MTOs this year, one of which I can’t wait to receive.Thats too bad. I liked sergio. Very helpful when i dealt with him.
And maybe i am the only one here that does not know, as people are conversing like they know you, but R W E is Robert from EG? Thats the only two people i had dealt with at EG and both were great.
Hi guys
Would like to buy a pair of Edward Green boots galway and round one in size uk7.5 last 82
I m normally wearing 6,5uk in Alfred sargent and crocket Jones, 7,5 can fit me or probably too large?
Many thanks
I believe you would get better shot with uk 7.Hi
With reference to the above I wrote to Paris shop and never get any answer.
I m living in the center of France so quite difficult to try a pair of EG.
To recap I m wearing Carmina Rain in 6,5E and Alfred Sargent in 6,5E
Do you think that I can wear a pair of Galway in 7,5E with last 82? Addind a leather inside sole may compensate half size in case shoes are a bit too large?
Thanks for your kind help
Fab
Yes, as a habitue of the Jermyn Street shop I would agree, and I also will miss both Sergio and Robert - after many years of abysmal service it had got better of late - hope this doesn't mean the end of the improvements.Sergio, charming man, responsible for 3 of my 5 EG MTOs this year, one of which I can’t wait to receive.
I'm sorry to read that: I used to work for Edward Green (and was based in Jermyn St.) until very recently, but have now relocated to Cordings of Piccadilly. I know I shouldn't really care, but I still rather feel responsible for any negative comments JS attracts.
If it's any consolation, the first week of the Sale was always the 'worst' - crazy amounts of people solidly from 10am 'til 6pm, with barely enough time to get some lunch...never mind about reply to emails, answer phonecalls, process the website orders, keep track of the stock, book in deliveries from the factory, etc. The full-time staff (of which there are currently only two) are pretty overworked and rising stress levels was a reason I felt I had to leave.
All that said, I consistently tried to write good emails to good customers and be very personable. If you and I ever 'worked' together I trust you felt that was the case! Hope you get something good out of the Sale in a couple of weeks' time.
Best,
RWE
