@Cleav Being a bit curious as I am eyeing the Dark Brown Suede Cardiffs myself!

Had this very same issue on one of my Loro Piana suede shoes (yes, had those as-ugly-as-expensive shoes) ..

Not something I expected from Edward Green, and certainly not something I would be happy with .. I have a feeling these creases are popping randomly, that's the most disturbing part .. So I am still wondering if it's a construction issue, or something else ..

The thing is, that's a recurring issue. You can brush it off, but as soon as you make a few steps, it will develop again ..
Had these on my g&gs too. Never bothered me much, and don't find it ugly at all. Shoes crease.

Some of my EG suede shoes get the crease, others do not. I think it is a function of the fact that leather is a natural fiber and has occasionally unpredictable creasing propensities. I don't think it is a construction issue.

Does anyone own both the Dover in Doak and redwood? Curious to see them side by side but it doesn’t have to be Dover but any models in those colors. Thanks guys

This is futile .. It only depends on the batch you will receive. I had Dark Oaks in variety of shades, from burnt pine looking to the dull dark brown ..

Thanks! Sorry about the boots... Huge fan of rosewood cc

Had a feeling this might come up. I'll hold off until i can see the two side by side and in real life to decide if they're different enough to justify buying both.

Sage advice here

Having read hundreds of pages in this thread trying to learn as much as possible it seems that when people say dark oak or doak they really mean "Dark oak" or "doak" since it can really mean anything between the spectrum outlined above by Nikola.

That being said, id like to pose another question, asked many times im sure, but i wouldnt mind current feedback, if you dont mind.

Does anyone find the dover loses some of its uniqueness when done in suede since the ribs of the stitch are not as visible? I quite like the softness of the lines added by the suede and the subtlety of the stitch in suede. (I may or not be considering mink suede or redwood)

@steveyoo1983 , @coldinboston awesome shoes, they are both amazing.
Besides being both being an adelaides wingtip oxford, the only difference I see is the faux wingtip on the Oriel and the slightly different brogue on the side. Is that correct? Thanks!
