In need of Last advice. I have a rather broad foot and suffered my first EG fail - Claverton on the 82 last. I put the left shoe on and the leather is so stressed at toes it inverts creating a sort of pinch. The eyelets are also some distance from one another (seems a very shallow shoe).
888 last is fine in an 8, however the 82 is a clear no-go.

Are the 888 and 606 the only ample lasts?

Terribly disappointed and huge EG learning curve. JL lasts all seem rather generous. Hope to never make this level of mistake again!

You might want to try an "F" fitting instead of the standard "E"

My best fitting EG shoe is on the 202F last .. Plenty of room for the foot to breathe and you can close down that ugly gap ..

Interesting. I have wide feet as well, and bought the monmouth in the 888 last and I find it very tight across the toes (possibly due to the seam); I bought the Brummell in the 88 and it's infinitely more comfortable.

MTM Dovers on the E606 last in tobacco.

Ordered at a trunk show in October. Had a couple of hitches in the ordering process through the retailer, but they arrived today. Fit is excellent. After an application of suede protection they'll be ready for action.

Congrats @Mark from Plano ! Just in time for the warm weather! Though, it's probably always warm in Plano. ;)

PS: No idea they did MTM, even at trunk shows.

Don't know if it's technically MTM, but I know she sized me and then added some room to the toe box. As you can see in the 2nd photo, the size on the shoe is marked 10 1/2 / 11.

Also, since I was nervous about the sizing, they shipped the half-finished shoes to Dallas so that I could try them on before they put the soles on and finished them up. Outstanding service, I thought.

Ah, okay. Yeah that's just the U.K. Size followed by the US size. So you would be a U.K.10.5E or a US 11D. Clear as mud?

The Dovers are great and I'm happy for you. Also great to hear about the service. It's what always keeps me coming back. Truly unparalleled in my experiences as well.

Hey Jeffrey, when's your blog going to be updated again?
