On SF other posters have said that shoe factories can only recast width downwards not upwards, so, based on that I’m not surprised EG said this. Stretching can make a big difference however.I enquired with EG about a refurbishment that would include a relating from E to F, but EG refused and offered to stretch them instead. Sounds strange to me as C&J have been very accommodating in relasting to different widths (and even sizes). Anyone has experience with this with EG?

Is there any extra charge to relast a size down versus what a normal resole by EG would cost?CJ always caveats too that it may not deliver the desired results. I've had them relast a half size down, but never asked to go the other way
I don't know for EG. CJ did not charge any additionalIs there any extra charge to relast a size down versus what a normal resole by EG would cost?

Nice pickup. Looks like they may have been a MTO / bespoke that the intended customer didn’t pick up or pay for.I managed to pick up a few pairs from the Factory shop sale on Saturday to add to the collection, and one pair has got me intrigued.
It's a lazyman, which I know is not a current shoe, but the waist is quite different to typical EG, and the black sole is also something I haven't seen before. Likewise a slightly tapered heel.
They are boxed, which states the model is 'Bodie 2', with some measurement adjustment written also.
Anyway, they fit lovely, with a lot more arch support than normal.
Does anyone know anything about these?! They were pretty cheap TBH, but I like them.
Thanks jellyroller, I was wondering the sameNice pickup. Looks like they may have been a MTO / bespoke that the intended customer didn’t pick up or pay for.
Oh wow - that would be amazing. I'm sure there were a couple more like that hidden away behind the door - I wish I'd had a longer look!Fiddleback waist in EG typically means that it’s a top drawer shoe, and the added arch support seems to imply that too. Although the E/OWN in the Last section seems to also imply this may be bespoke of some kind? Who knows.
