So after a lovely Thanksgiving holiday I was out at a bar on Saturday night for a few drinks. In the middle of the evening there was a very, VERY drunk girl at the bar. Long story short, she ended up throwing up all over the place and had to be escorted out. My friends and I had a laugh and resumed our scheduled activities.
When I got home later that evening I found that some of the girls drinks from (ahem) earlier that night had ended up on my suede chukkas. Naturally I went into cleaning mode and gave them a good damp wipe down and a thorough horsehair brushing. I let them dry throughout the day and last night they were looking pretty good.
This morning, however, there are clearly some spots where the nap is discolored. When I rub the suede in the other direction it looks good as new for a moment, but then quickly goes back to being worn-out looking.
Now these are chukkas that I intend to wear casually and scuff up, etc over time. However, since this occurred on roughly my 10th time wearing them, I'd like to see if there is anything that can be done at this juncture to get rid of some of the discoloration. I suppose I'll have to deal if the answer is I'm a day late and a dollar short, but I figured I'd reach out to the great minds of SF. Thanks in advance, gents!
