I'm not the best person to evaluate the reasonableness of your plan but I can still offer some perspective.

I know it seems completely cliche but - Follow your passion. No matter what program you decide to enroll in, your level of involvement will dictate where you end up. Your course work will be identical to those you will be competing against for associate jobs so its what you do with class projects and in your free time that will set you apart. Spend a lot of time reading blogs, industry publications and scholarly articles, these are truly indispensable.

By deciding what your passion is you will better be able to focus your application essays and eventually select the right program. Many MBA applicants attend the best acceptance but the process should be much more about finding the right fit. Not only are you a better student but you are a better alumni down the road as well.

this is critical.. don't just punch your card - don't do something you're not interested in because you "have to" do it to get where you want to go.
For example: Mckinsey has a great network. Downside? One Mckinsey guy will call another to get references. If you suck there, it will be known.
