Does a tailor need to re-measure/re-fit for a tuxedo if they've already made you a bespoke suit?

Hi, I've got my wedding in November and need to get a tuxedo made.

I have a regular suit that I've previously had made from a tailor in Hong Kong while on holiday. He's told me that he has my measurements on file and would be able to make a tux too, but I'm not sure if the fit/cut for a tux is different and if I'd need another in person fitting session.

Finding a local bespoke tailor is out of my budget, and for a similar price I'd be looking at a full canvas MTM option in Sydney.

Given its for my wedding I'm also a little worried about specific style details that are different in HK that I might forget to specify (eg in HK they tend to have wider cut pants than in Sydney).

In my situation what would you guys go with? Bespoke tailor you've previously worked with but can't get to for fittings, or MTM locally?

Thank you!
