I buy those from The Right Lace and they come in an envelope.

I tried Alibaba but those were not as good.

Are the ones from 'The Right Lace' available in longer lengths? At some point I'd like to get another pair of Swing lasted work boots, but at an 8" height for greater ankle support. If I could get waxed laces to fit those, it'd be ideal. Much cleaner look than the leather ones when dealing with clients.

Sambam,

I am looking for a page with a photo of every leather White's offers (not special leathers that customers supply or leathers available only once every few years). I have a page bookmarked and was wondering if this is a thorough list?

http://www.vintageblue.co.jp/option/wb-smokejumper-001/index.html#leather

Is Black Cherry Water Buffalo normally available, and what would the upcharge be to have a pair of the 300 Oxfords made with it? Is there a grey leather White's carries?

Thanks

Looked at the list. Only a few things we don't stock. Light brown wb, will look into getting it back. Moon grey bh and harvest we dont have. We stock British tan and it is real close to the harvest. Black cherry we always have. That is real pretty stuff. Just sent a pair of bcwb 300's to japan. Looked very nice. Would be real close to the same price of chromexcel.

Our management team has had conversations about our laces the last few weeks. Looks like we need to fix some things. Great info for me. Thanks

I love the 38 swing last for the same reason... never tried the 54 last in person... it may be a good compromise between the 38 and the 55... can anyone offer a real world comparison between the toe space in the 54 and the 38?

I also agree that having sambam here is a great boon to the thread...

They sell 45" and 54" laces.

It's a bit of a pain to navigate their site. Placing "flat waxed" in the search yields the results your after, but not clearly sorted by size. THe product code will have a 45 or 54 in it.

@NorthCoast yup I use 54" brown waxed laces on my Brown Distressed 6" Bounty Hunters, but I suspect they wouldn't be long enough for an 8" tall pair. Anyone here know a good lace length for an 8" White's boot?

Sambam and NorthCoast,

Thanks for the replies! I recently picked up a pair of the Farmer-Ranchers in Navy CXL off ebay from the White's store. They are a 9 1/2D. I believe my Bounty Hunters are a 9 1/2C. The Bounty Hunters are on the standard BH last (I'm not sure which last that is). On the Farmer-Ranchers I have plenty of room for thick socks. I don't plan on wearing heavy socks with the 300 Oxfords, so if I go with the 461 last in a 9 1/2C should the general fit be similar to the Bounty Hunters in 9 1/2C?

That is my final question before I order them tomorrow. Well, later today east coast time since it is after midnight here. :)

Thanks again!

@sambam ,

Is the White's store in Spokane a full serviced store, with salesperson helping customers measure their feet?
Thanks.

OK sambam, I placed my order for 54 oxfords in brown dress (can't get enough of that leather) this morning.

Please don't list any cool boots on Whitesriver in 7 1/2E....especially nothing on your 38 last!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
