I never post but since this thread has been such an invaluable resource to me in researching for my own pair of White's, I figured I'd throw a couple pictures up since my pair arrived today after an 8 week build time. A pretty standard looking pair of 8" Classic Work Boots but I love them. Completely stock except for the captoe and leather lining. Leather is brown smooth. Boots arrived looking perfect. Scuffs and snow flecks are from my own wear.
Thank you for taking the time to post! Im considering a very similar build and every picture helps! Jeremy

^ Those classic work boots look great! Nice to see some good old brown oil tan leather. Though I am surprised (pleasantly) to see the undyed edges on the leather, which normally you only see on CXL and Horsehide. Nice boots all around..

@onimpulse Nice boots... Here is my pair of BHs in the same leather.. I think I should have got toe caps on mine.. The edges on my leather are undyed too.

About 15 wears in the snow and slush here in MN. Applied a little AE Brown edge dressing and then some Obenaufs to the sides of the soles. Then just brushing daily and wiping off with a damp cloth every week.

The lighting is a little different in this picture.

Hey @Royteane here's a pair of Bounty Hunters size 12D, Swing Last, hanging out on the very very turquoise of my girlfriend's chair for contrast. Got them Dec. 2nd after about an 11 week wait.

Distressed Brown Smooth leather throughout (darkened by Obenauf's LP), Vibram 430 sole, standard heel & trim, clear edge coating applied by Baker's (though I now wish I would've opted for brown edge dressing), antique hardware, unlined, no celastic. Still hunting for flat waxed laces 66"-70" in length, leather ones for now.

Most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and great for work - good grip & balance even on slushy liftgates, rock solid ankle support.

Thanks all you guys for sharing, they filled my missee puzzle. I am looking for casual boots not yet decided Sj or bh. I actually owned a composite toe smokejumper as real workboots which looked not so good and may be 0.5-1 size too large. I try to stay with it for 6months but I decided to cantact Kyle for rebuild serveral days ago but not yet replied. I plan to order new one after sizing problem solved.

So, I experimented today with some Fiebing's edge dressing. My black CXL SDs, now a year old or so, had natural edges. Over the past year, the natural edges had darkened some but the color was uneven and a bit rough, perhaps due to snow/salt or scuffs. Definitely not as attractive as at first. So, I decided to spruce them up with brown Fiebing's.

The Fiebing's comes with a dauber that is a bit unwieldy for precise use. I found it was best to do this in a place you don't mind getting messy potentially. First, I tried to get as much of the edge dressing off the dauber as I could using paper towels. A little of the dressing goes on a long way. Once the dauber was moist but not drippy, I carefully applied the dressing to the heel and edge, being careful not to get the dressing on the boot itself. Every so often I used a paper towel to carefully wipe away the excess. What resulted was nice light brown edge, actually not much darker than before. I think when I order White's in the future, I'll steer clear of the natural edge and go with brown (as I did with my brown dress SDs). In the end, the natural edge seems to get brown anyways.

Got my boots today in the mail. Overall build quality is good but problem is the right heel. Notice anything wrong?

They seem to both look a little tilted, but the right extremely so. Unless the pic is misleading. If it is that tilted, it's a real shame. White's often has wonky heels and midsoles, but that one's pretty bad.
