As per C&J this leather is very tough for bad weather/snow/rain etc and tougher than country grain.
So I am thinking to do a GMTO of Northcote Boots on 348 last with this leather. Waiting for pricing info from C&J.
I am thinking to use this as a everyday winter boots on a sleek last.

Darn, didn't think I'd want another boot but Russian Calf is awesome.

Don't have the Zug Snowdon yet so don't know how to make the comparison. I'm very curious if they are making the Russian Calf in the same way as it used to be made (though hard to believe). Someone compare please!

The original Russian leather was also made from reindeer whereas the modern version is calf (I think?). I am not sure if reindeer leather has any special properties compared to calf, just something to note.
