The best of the bunch is the Testoni, Mantellasi second. The Rossetti is ugly. I've seen plenty of Peluso at discount stores, they are about the same level as Mezlan, mid-range, ok quality, kind of blah nothing special.

I saw some Stanislas shoes on Saturday. They look good. They were in the window of a bespoke bottier with whom he works for bespoke stuff. The Stanislas modesl all have a certain heft or presence to them, but are elegant.

The website given is what appears to be a courtesy site for Stanislas hosted on the personal website of a member of French shoe forum www.souliers.net
