I have gained nearly 10 lbs of muscle. As a result, some of my outerwear does not fit my arms or back anymore, my xs black warp and weft taylor stitch long haul jacket, bought in xs is one of them.
As such, I will be getting rid of my xs black denim long haul. I did buy 3 others in the small size that seem to still fit fine. (Beach cloth, blue sashiko, and brown herringbone) I can still wear those. I am thinking about replacing the black denim with the one on lee's website, the cloth lined storm rider 101. Any sizing advice with comparison to taylor stitch fits I mentioned here?
Who owns this lee jacket? I prefer my lighter weight outerwear to be fitted, so I usually go down a size in a regular fit to accomodate that comfortably while maintaining a fitted profile..
Taylor stitch longhauls in small 38 tended to fit approximately between 17.5-18.25 inch shoulders and 41-43 inches at the chest according to what I remember about size charts. Obviously that varied according to the weight or thickness of the garment itself.
So, how about it, does anyone own a cloth lined lee rider 101? How robust is the lining? Are the shoulders narrow or fuller cut? Does the jacket shrink? I am trying to get an idea of if I should get a small or medium. I have a 30 waist and am somewhere between a 40 and 42 chest with somewhere around 18 inch shoulders and a wide back. Can I have your own upper body measurements to help me decide on the correct size? Photo in the taylor stitch affiliate thread featuring the beach cloth is me. For reference I am nearly 180 now. I was around 167 lbs in the photo, 5"9.
