Why would a summer suit like the tobacco linen be fully lined? Would it be possible to get it without any lining or at least minimal lining? I have a linen Rubinacci blazer with no lining at all, not even in the arms. Just the seams are bound with cupro and it is absolutely fantastic to wear over a linen shirt in the summer.

Might be a combination of the photography and the seersucker ripple, but it's a very typical glenplaid pattern. If you look at glenplaids, you'll see that the horizontal stripes are often stronger than the vertical ones. Example here:
Much clearer now! I wish it would have been a DB, but might get regardless. What can be changed for the preorder? Is it possible to get finished since they already have my measurements, and forgo the tailoring credit?

@gdl203 thank you for the pics Greg! I appreciate the effort! That was the shade that I was looking for.

The shade of 350142 looks closer to this ^ SC GMTO that I missed out on.

That was just a typo - thanks for pointing it out.

Half, quarter or unlined is a matter of preference - I much prefer an unlined back and lined sides personally, and I think it is the most functional configuration - so that's how I spec the RTW summer pieces. Bespoke and MTO customers can do whatever they want, of course. I would never stock anything with unlined sleeves for the rack

Pretty much nothing at all beyond size. Pre-orders are for ordering your size, odd sizes (including shorts and longs) and mismatched sizes for jacket and trousers. All pieces will be made exactly the same way, with no changes in pattern or pre-alterations.

I will also note that anything that gets no pre-orders at all will probably not be ordered for the rack eventually. If no one wants to buy it with their guaranteed size and at a preferential discount, then it's unlikely anyone will buy it without the pre-order discount

Should probably post this here as inspiration for the Drapers Green WSL blend

Last year's was more brown and darker, and from Drapers. This one is between tan and brown and from Caccioppoli (although the actual mill may be the same as with the Drapers one, for all I know). Comparison shots:

I think the Domenico Vacca picture is a good illustration of the new one's shade :

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
