I would just rub some into the toe of the other boot so they look sort of even. Gives them some character.

Dear All, i need some advice. Awhile ago,i accidentally put some brown kiwi on my Bushacre and the dark patch and now i cant seem to remove it.. any idea what can be done to remove the dark kiwi patch? Thanks!

I would just polish them all over in your Kiwi Brown polish for an even colour. They'll lighten back again over time. Just apply a bit with a cloth and then use a brush to polish.

I dont want the shoe to turn dark brown :( its been awhile and i dont see the dark patch lightening up

Anyone know how much darker the dark brown Bushacres II are vs the Beeswax? Or are the dark brown leather ones just more redd-ish as depicted on the Amazon pics?

I ordered the beeswax, but they are much lighter than I would want. I know most people on here, and on MFA seem to prefer the lighter brown, but after getting them, I belatedly realized that I actually preferred a much darker boot. Mine are more chocolate-y and at a distance, they look almost suede-ish, which I don't like.

What I've done is rubbed some dark denim on them, which has improved them somewhat. Now, I'm thinking of getting some mink oil to darken them even further. But I'm wondering if it would just be easier to just order the dark brown leather instead?

I guess, my questions is, would the dark brown leather Buschacre 2's be quite a bit more darker vs a Beeswax one darkened with mink oil?

Thanks.

Hi, how do your desert boots fit? I just got a pair and am wondering if I should have gone another half size down. How much room do you guys have between the big toe and the end of the toe box? Thank you!! I just want to make sure I get the fit right. I have about a full thumb width when I feel the size sitting down and about a thumb nail width at the end when standing up. With thick socks.

After reading people say the Clarks Desert Boots are narrow I thought I'd try them out. I wear narrow "B" widths when available but some regular shoes fit me. Sadly I found these to be just as wide as any other medium-width shoe.

Can anyone with narrow feet recommend similar boots that work for those with slimmer feet?

Bushacres 2, Beeswax. The new ones on the left from Clarks (via Amazon) are considerably darker than the older pair I got 3-4 months ago at Nordstrom rack. I much prefer the color on the older pair (right), are they still available? Where and how can I get those instead?

Thanks.

Does anybody know the difference between the different clarks SKUs for beeswax? I came across this discrepancy when I was browsing this site:
http://www.baitme.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=clarks+desert+boot
and I saw these:
CB06562 (tag says desert boot)
CB78358 (tag says desert boot-core)

I also recently purchased a pair from fsfashionny (via ebay) and noticed that the tag was cut out where this 'W' was. Does anybody know what this means? Thanks!

I recently picked up a pair of Bushacre 2s in beeswax. Can someone give me a rundown on the benefits of different treatments for the leather (mink oil, beeswax, Obenauf's, etc.)? Are we just talking about darkening/softening the leather, or will some of them give a bit of water resistance? I've skimmed the thread, but I couldn't really find a comparison of the different products.

Thanks, all.

Hey! So I got myself a pair of CDB beeswax, but after waterproofing (boston waterbased protector) they ended up like this. Any of you guys know how I can fix this D:? Thanks.

Part of me would want to leave it that way in hopes that they develop a cool patina as some parts are exposed to the weather and other spots aren't. I know for a lot of boots, people recommend saddle soap for stripping off old weatherproofing/treatments, but I don't know how it would interact with a water-based product.
