Need some sizing help on Clarks DBs. I have a pair of Clarks boat shoes in size 8 that fit snug with athletic socks (not that I wear them so) and size 9 in Chuck Taylors likewise. What size would you recommend? Are there any sizing/stretching differences between the suede and leather versions I should be aware of? Thanks!

I don't know how much help this would be for you but I usually wear a 10D in sneakers and the 8.5D was the right size for Clarks Suede boots for me. The suede ones break in a lot. It's thin, soft leather. I wear a 9 in Redwing GTs and a 9.5 in Frye boots generally. Most people seem to say 1/2 size down, but I'd recommend going one full size down.

Wear what fits when you try them on. No shoe stretches all that much.

I wear an 8 in both Chucks and Clark's DB.

Yeah I think a full size down is best. I measure a 10.5D but I do 9.5 in Chucks.

I went 10 with the DBs and could've done a 9.5 I think.

I wear an 8 in Clarks, Chucks, Redwing GT(these are big on me, could do 7.5), and Allen Edmonds. My foot measures 9.

We're the same exact size and yes, GT's in 7.5 are the perfect fit.

^ah ok, thanks

Also, about the sizing...I wear a 9.5 in Sperrys boat shoes and 10 in Allen Edmonds. Should I get a size 9 or 9.5? Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't be bothered going through this mega thread to find the answer.

What suede color should I get for something I can wear with jeans and khaki chinos?

that's been asked a hundred times in this thread i think. the standard sand will look great with jeans but depending on the shade of khaki might not look as good. wolf is slightly darker than sand and taupe slightly darker than wolf. the beeswax, although not suede, seems to be popular and versatile.

I think the dark brown colour is the best with blue faded denim.
