That's a real shame.

EDIT: The Bills name wouldn't make any sense in Toronto. Maybe they could be the Argonauts.

Perhaps the Toronto team should be named after a team not already in existence?

Something patriotic would be nice. The Canadiens perhaps.

I think they should take a cue from the Ottawa football team and call themselves the BLUEPOWDERBLUES.

The Bills would likely earn more of Toronto's love if they didn't have one of the blandest names around. I mean, Bill? If we're going that route, go with the Brocks (very masculine) or the Charleses (sounds kind of Canadian to me...I have no idea why). But really, I'd go with something Torontoans can really identify with and call their own, like the Bankers or Immigrants or something.

Hmm, maybe they could be called the Sorrys. That's pretty Canadian. Or the Those Ones.

Yes, those are good too. But I was thinking of something that would say "Toronto" besides the word "Toronto."

I don't think the CFL was or is very strong in the creative or interesting name category. Considering its normally a 9 team league and we have had two teams named the Roughriders at the same time.

Not true! The storied Roughriders of Saskatchewan continue to strike fear in the hearts of their opponents, while the shameful imitation Rough Riders of Ottawa have ceased to exist.

No true fan of the CFL would be fooled by the superficial similarities of their names.

It's a historic day today (Thursday) the REDBLACKS of Ottawa are going to make their CFL regular season debut! I predict they will not receive a warm welcome at Investors Group Field, though. The Blue Bombers are off to an impressive start to where I have to think they're the frontrunners for the CFL championship.

(Don't anyone be sending me PMs betell me the Baltimore CFLers are the true frontrunners they are not in the league anymore.)

Nobody - and I mean nobody - in Canada should have used the name "Roughriders." That is a name strictly reserved for North Dakota, bequeathed to us by Teddy Roosevelt himself. For shame!

I'm a little worried at what I'm seeing the REDBLACKS are leading the Blue Bombers in the third quarter. We need Nic Grigsby to come through with another TD (touchdown)!

EDIT: Crap, Ottawa just added a field goal to where they are up 5 with a quarter to go. :censored:

Epic Q4 comeback for the Bombers! Wouldn't you know it, Nic Grigsby came through in the clutch. :slayer:
