Good Morning

I was hoping for some advice. I've recently bought a Cavour suit with a Mod 2 jacket. This is my first jacket with a more unstructured / Neapolitan shoulder and wanted to check if this was how it
is supposed to hang / fold. All my previous jackets have a much more British style shoulder that tend to sit pretty flat with little folding / ruffling.

Please ignore how alarming my adams apple looks in profile!

Thanks for any advice. It is a 50 Jacket and fits nicely otherwise.

Looks like you have a nerdy shoulders with severe rotation towards the chest. This jacket looks really bad on you. Also, you seem to have a pretty significant collar gap. So possibly sizing down might improve fit a lot

Sized up to a 52.

Waist needs to be taken in.
Needs to be cuffed.
Still on the fence whether thighs and hips need to be let out a notch or not.
Width below knee is fine I think.

Any insights?
My insight is just that you should fold the fabric inside the leg not outside when assessing fit, as otherwise it will destroy the silhoutte of the trouser, being an unpressed cuff, and make it very hard to assess whether you like the legline

Hi @kevinsvindland
There are errors in raglan coat's description on the website, which would be treated as a misinformation:
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the coat showcases handcrafted elements throughout. These include the collar attachment, armhole, sleeve, lining, buttonholes, and pick stitching.
Buttonholes on the raglan coat are machine made and there's no pick stitching there.
Sleeves and lining are sewn by a machine and I am pretty sure collar attachment and armhole are too.
Also size chart is wrong - listed length would be way above the knee, while in reality it's way below

This is true!

Seems like it has been given some of the copy belonging to another coat.

Thanks for the heads up!

I’m almost certain that the premium also is made by 100H. The difference is similar to 100Hs black/gold line etc, where there are more hand sewn details etc.

Hello, is the premium OCBD also made by 100 hands or only the sartoria, if so, what are the major differences?
All shirts are made in the same place.
Classic - Basic machine made, smaller collars.
Premium - Fancier machine made, larger collars.
Sartoria - Handmade (Essentially a Black Line shirt)

However, we will switch to a new maker for FW25.

Got my first whipcord trousers (mod 3) and the fabric is simply phenomenal - soft with a silky touch, pleasant for the skin. The taupe color is actually noticeably darker than in the pictures. Nevertheless, the craftsmanship is really good.

When it comes to fit - from waist to thighs it's very good, size 52 in my case has in this areas almost identical dimensions like my bespoke trousers. Unfortunately, my fears were confirmed after analysing the size chart earlier and the legs narrow too quickly/strongly below the thighs to the bottom, IMO. This causes the carrot effect, i.e. the loose fit in the hips and thighs does not look proportionate to such narrowed legs.

I don't have any fit pics yet, but I'm thinking whether to leave them and make them wider due to the large amount of material at the seams. After that I'll show the fit, before and after.
I picked up the same pair. I didn’t take any pics out of the box but had the same impressions: silky texture (a very refined whipcord!), different color than pictured and too tight in the legs. Fortunately these come with a lot of extra fabric so you can let them out quite a bit. My tailor prefers slim fit and the results below were as far as he was willing to go on the first try. I like the current fit but there is still more fabric available to let out.

The color is hard to capture and looks different depending on the lighting. It leans more toward green and grey but the tan comes out in natural light. It’s definitely darker than pictured on the website.

For reference, I’m 6’, 158# and these are size 48. I really wish they would use a wider cut for the Mod 3 legs. I appreciate the extra fabric but having the legs let out is not inexpensive.

Thanks for the photos, but these are chocolate (https://www.cavour.com/products/mod-3-exclusive-whipcord-trouser-chocolate), not taupe I presume?

Wanted to pick these up too but was nervous about the 4% elastane. Do you normally go for all natural materials, if so, how did you feel about purchasing a pair with synthetics?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
