Maybe a bit more luxury than Camry? say 55-60k? Not a huge fan of 5 series or E which are way too big for a midsize.
The current Audi A4/5 and BMW 3 Series are the sweet spot for size IMO. BMW 5 series is massive. If you are looking for a step up in performance, the S4/S5 and BMW M340i both have a 3L, 6 cylinder turbo vs the 4 cylinder turbo on the standard A and 3 Series. The current gen M340i just got a facelift for 2025. The Audi & BMW offer a ton of performance for a sedan in their sport models.
Second rec for Audi S4/S5 or BMW M340i

It seems like all of the manufacturers should consider making fewer, higher quality models.

Maybe @Piobaire shouldn’t get the new GX
I parked next to one at the ski mountain a few days ago. I took a peek inside and can confirm the cup holders have enough space for Piob's Big Dumb Cups. It was too cold for interior plastics to melt so didn't notice anything like that.

I don't even know what that means.

I'm still driving my Smart #1 Brabus whilst waiting for my perfect hybrid to come by. It's been reasonably fun, the instant torque is great for merging. This morning I had a bit of fun with a Tesla (black wrap, body kit etc) who thought that it could just pass me on the inside up a hill. I pressed on the accelerator and shot up the hill at 110, matching Mr Tesla who then had to merge behind as the dual carriageway ran out. I think a lot of Mr Teslas are realising that they aren't the only ones with instant torque anymore.

I will miss it when I get the hybrid.

I am travelling for work and have a Toyota Camry HEV. Given it is a rental, I have not looked too into how to change all the settings but I think some of these can't be full-time on: 1. Adaptive Cruise is just always on and brakes regardless. I cannot figure out if I can turn this off. 2. High beams are automatic and turn on when it is dark and no oncoming traffic then turn off when it senses traffic. 3. Half the dash seems lit up in various lights, like adaptive and other sensors, which makes me wonder at what point does something cease being a indicator light on the dash and can then be removed?

The only other quirk is the passenger footwell is sort of blocked off from the center console area. It is just a weird styling choice I have not seen other than something that is focused just on the driver like a Corvette or something.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
