Funny story, I ended up buying another e60 m5 in the exact same spec as my last one in January 2021 with 45k miles.

2008 m5 interlagos blue with silver stone metallic interior and the dark wood trim. Unfortunately smg because I couldn’t find any manuals. I bought it for $20k because the dealer mispriced it. Sold it one year later for $30k.

I also had a 981 cayman gts in sapphire blue that I bought in 2018. Sold it this Jan for the price I paid four years ago lol. Got really lucky with my timing.

the only car I have left is my e46 m3 from 2015. I’ll prolly never sell it.

when I leave nyc, my next car will be a 992 gt3 for sure.

I’ve always been a sucker for blue so I’d get it in shark blue if I were to spec it out today.

although… I heard the 992 exhaust note is way more muffled than the 991 gen. Shame.

It’s great, so much more drama and a very different character than a Porsche. It’s like the extrovert’s 911 Turbo. Yes, reliability was a concern - a few issues needed to be sorted out from 0-7000 miles, but I’ve got 12k on it now and it’s solid.
