I'm curious about the terminology used to describe construction like this - the "raised" line where the panels meet, I mean. It's not rolled like on a cap toe, it's something else. I've never seen anything like it before.

Clearly, somebody put some thought into it; the "raised" line that runs up along the vamp that ends at the "collar" was a good choice, otherwise it would look like a ring around one's ankle.

agree with everything you said would love to know more

X-post. We're launching eight new models for fall today, four of them are Carmina:

Yes, I am wondering the same thing, and what's underneath the raised line?

If there is a not a burgundy museum calf version of those U-wing boots in the pipeline, I would be in for a GMTO for them assuming the museum calf looks like it sounds.

If I really had my drothers I would also switch it from Rain to Inca for the shape of the toe, but that's a minor point and if others wanted to keep it in Rain I would still go for it.

Can I safely assume a rain balmoral boot will maybe have a bit more instep room than a rain bal shoe in the same size? The laces don't close up completely on my rain 922 and im wondering if I'll be ok in the same size for a U Boot.

While setting up a recent personal MTO with skoak for a rain-lasted bal boot, they told me exactly that: A rain bal boot will have more room on the instep.
