Need advise. I recently discovered that the seam from the inside has started to tear and I'm afraid it's going to continue with use.
I'm wondering if it's worth to have it re sawn or just get them re soled.
I'm bummed about it since I got them on September and they're supposed to take a beating.

Has anyone had the 100th Anniversary edition of these boots?
They were made in 2012.
I picked up a slightly used pair this past weekend for $8.00.
So far I am really liking them.
Here are a couple pictures before conditioning.

I'm pretty sure they are not Chippewa. I was just wondering if anyone had a pair of the 100th anniversary..

I'm looking for a pair of these boots in size 10 D.

Anyone know of a way to get these cheaper than retail?

Thanks

As I own two pairs and recently fell in love with Vibram wedge sole I sent my newer pair to a cobbler for a resole.
Today he sent me a pic and told me a bit of what he did.
White Vibram Morflex sole
5,5mm Leather midsole
Replacing the plastic welt part with leather
Replacing the "carpet like filler" with proper cork filler

Not so much a classic work boot look anymore, huh! I think they turned out great! Exactly as I wanted. The last two customisations turned the whole thing a bit pricey but I believe it will be well worth it.

How much? Those are interesting, sorta like the Red wing type look.

I wonder if I could change my sole to something more formal, how that would look.... Hmmm
