If you're between sizes like me I'd recommend going with the smaller size. I'm between a 10.5 and 11, got an 11 which is fine but I would prefer a 10.5

So if I'm a 9 US/42 EUR in dress shoes and Clarks DBs, 8.5 with thin socks in 1Ks, I should probably go for a 9 in either the Bean's or the Rodeo Chippewas, yes?

Just wanted to pop in and point out that Eastern Mountain Sports carries approximate replacement laces for $3.00. Brown and waxed, do the trick.

What does everyone think about these? They are the L.L. Bean Signature Waxed Canvas Maine Boot.

I have them - bought them many, many moons ago - before they were considered "in style". Having said that, they are great for rain and snow - providing you wear a thick enough sock to keep your feet warm. I tend to need/prefer boots that offer more support and I never felt these boots were the best for me in that regard. Bob

Just noticed that my order's been pushed back an extra couple of weeks to October 13th. Assuming this is true for everyone else as well...

Guys,

where to get the much-loved Iron Works Captoe now? I checked the website... nothing. And can they be found in brick&mortar stores?

I have these too and love 'em. True, the ankle support of other boots just isn't there, but otherwise they are super comfy and definitely do the job in rain/snow/whatever.

These are back on the website and also a 10% off link via email if you were on their mailing list. Came down to $143 total to CA, but wont ship until the 20th.

After reading every page on this thread, half a size seems to have worked for most. I went down from my normal shoe size of 11.5 to 11 and I hope it turns out fine.

Just ordered a pair with the 10% off as well. Got mine TTS 10, hopefully they work out. Will let you all know come Oct. 20.

I'm excited.
