i have a package (incoming) that's stuck in TX as well, frankly been reluctant to sell much lately although my inventory is ready, just hesitant for fulfilling reasonable expectations
I have still been listing. But, I have certainly refrained from listing anything of high value. It's a good time to clean out the fodder. Anyway, I have temporarily kicked the USPS to the curb. On 3 of my items today, the price of Fedex 2-day was cheaper than USPS Priority.

I get your point, also what someone else said about lower traffic, and I'm not trying to be argumentative here, just curious and thinking out loud.

Sure, the B&S isn't perfect, but it can still be navigated and used to view items and send messages, so it should be theoretically possible to make a deal with someone on an item.

I don't think SF took any responsibility for B&S deals gone bad before the update, so has anything really changed in that regard? I mean, they don't take a cut, so why should they?

One change I have noticed that must be very off-putting to buyers is that sold ads cannot be deleted (at least mine aren't when I try), so the few enquiries I have had were on items long gone.

My days of bothering to list anything here are probably over as well. Too bad.

My response to your thoughts is this: They may have not have ever assisted with sales gone bad or had a responsibility to make communication easy; but their lack of effort on this are some reasons why sales have tanked.

I keep contemplating to switching to more and more fedex, but there's just no replacement for 1st class shipping prices.

Been using Fedex way more this past month for heavier items. The price difference between them and USPS is pretty crazy once things are 5-8 pounds or more.

Seems USPS is not updating tracking at all right now. I'm getting this instead of tracking updates:

"High shipping volumes are causing some delays. Please allow extra time."

Can confirm it's all over the place with USPS - I've got incoming things stuck with no tracking updates in TX, VA, HI and NH. Although shout out to AL where our wrapping paper for this year has been stuck with no updates at all other than accepted and then "In transit, arriving late" since the original expected delivery date on the 4th. Local mail guy here said he's never seen so much mail and at the NDC and they have something like 80 trailers full of stuff waiting to be sorted because there isn't any room to unload them.

Canada Post's not doing any better with the increased holiday volume. My thriftmas present was supposed to be delivered yesterday on the other side of the Atlantic according to the delivery standard. It hasn't even left my city yet.

Sure glad I paid up for Express.

Yeah, it really is a massive difference. I shipped a suit recently and FedEx's two-day shipping was cheaper than Priority Mail.

i pretty much don't use CP anymore

Presume the time guarantees are no more and you can't claim a refund for the shipping cost?

Pretty much. My inner socialist likes supporting a state-owned enterprise with a strong union but if they ruin thriftmas for my recipient, I might just have to start using couriers again. There's also a new drop spot near me for a USPS border shipper I've been meaning to check out...

I noticed the shipping complaints here and checked my own sales—indeed nothing has moved much since the first of December. A pair of shoes headed to Japan have made it the farthest: 18 miles to the USPS distribution center in only four days!

Does anyone know if stuff is moving, just not getting scanned, or is it not moving at all.
Is one of the other shippers doing any better? It sounds like all are affected, but I’d be willing to switch if there was a better option.
Last, this is just seasonal, right? Well get back to normal after they catch up from the Christmas crush?
