Beam recently raised the MSRP on Booker's to ninety bucks a bottle. That confirms my loyalty to Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, at twice the age and 2/3 the price.

^ That is exactly where I am at. $60-75 for a solid bottle of bourbon is about what it is worth to me. I didn't buy bourbon for maybe three-five years (other than well stuff for Manhattans), just drank stock, and when I got back into it I bought a dozen bottles of various things up to like $100, and the Elijah Craig was really punching above its weight. Yeah, I miss Stagg and WLW, and Saz 18 in particular desperately, but I'm no longer chasing bourbon dreams.

Just picked up the b520. Supposed to be really good. Love that they keep the 12 year age statement on the barrel proof as well.

I mostly passed when they raised the price to $70+ a few years back. Will definitely pass at $90. The last bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle set me back about the same, and it was a good bit better.

Unless you can regularly find pappy at that price it’s not really a fair comparison...

It's a fair comparison in the sense that I'd pay $90 for ORVW, not $90 for Booker's. How's that?
If we’re using theoretical pricing that has no bearing on me actually being able to buy, I wouldn’t pay $90, I’d pay $70 for it (2019 MSRP).

I'm becoming a Wild Turkey fan due to their Master's Keep bottlings.
