True "casual" boots aren't very popular here, most boots are just informal dress boots worn casually with a couple exceptions like the GT

i love how $400 is mid-range. good old SF conditioning. (but so true in that i think of them as mid-range too now).

I hate Red Wing GTs, i find the toe bulbous. Also hate the stitched toe on Alden indies. maybe they won't get so much love now that we don't see so much workwear.

That's not true at all. My Paul Smith Borelli and Bihars are true casual boots, same with my Ferragamo suede boots with a big lug rubber sole. Indy's are pretty casual too, I can't imagine them being dressy at all unless they were the cordovan version and even that is a stretch.

+1. I'd also throw n.d.c. in the mix, although they tend to run on the dressier side. You can almost always find them below retail as well.

What are you smoking, dude? Every Buttero at Barney's was priced just a few dollars less than F + B and they all looked like skinhead construction boots. F + B need minimal break-in and are some of the most comfortable boots around. Have you even tried them on? F + B makes Buttero feel like Timberlands.

These are a little more ostentatious -read: not workboots or engineer boots- than most of the common pairings on this forum. Yet, I think these in a blue suede could look pretty sick with raw faded or new raw denimz. They're handmade in Turkey, apparently

Thoughts?

DISCLAIMER: I saw these on uncrate, just to give credit, and they look pretty steezy.
