Perhaps I'm among the unwashed since I often buy off the rack at large department stores, but I think Bloomingdale's store brand dress shirts (under the label Joseph & Lyman) are really good for the price.
They retail for about $80 a pop, but can often be found at 50 to 60 percent off a few months after the new arrivals come in.
The shirts fit well, they have some pretty cool looking patterns and they're durable (single-needle stitching). I've had some that have lasted four or five years.
And no I don't work for Bloomy's or own stock in Macy's. Just a fan.
