Any recommendations? I've heard 1aauto.com is good but know little about the competitors. Looking for a brake pad and rotor kit. Thanks.

Those are run-of-the-mill parts you can find at any parts store. Why are you thinking of buying online?

I was thinking I'd find a better deal online.

Gotcha. Aside from highly-specialized stuff that I can't find in a local shop, I don't generally buy my parts online, so I can't speak to whether that's the case. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that buying from a brick-and-mortar store comes with the benefit of being able to return or swap if it turns out there's an issue with the parts, and it might also offer the chance to chat with someone who has some experience if you run into a problem, both of which might come in handy for you given your inexperience working on cars.

One thing you might want to try is looking for coupons for B&M retailers in your area, especially chains. I know Pep Boys recently had a deal where you could get 20% off parts if you order online and pick up in store. A coupon like that could easily erase any price difference.

Either way, good luck.
