Divij is in Costa MesaHello gents
anyone has tried bespoke tailors in orange country California? I used to go to High Society for suits and shirts but I moved to Irvine and commute is ridiculous from Irvine to DTLA. Any OC bespoke tailor recommends?
You’re in luck! Tam Tailor in Westminster is a fabulous source. Peter has current Loro Piana and other fabric books to choose from. How can you not like well made bespoke pieces at the price of moderate (Canali) off the rack?
I have had about 12-15 pcs made in the last 4 years.
That was my concern...His father though was the real master tailor, I miss that guy.
I have posted a few photos of Tam Tailors pieces in the Ongoing Bespoke Projects thread. Are you able to post some photos of your results? Curious about the styles you've had made up as I've had somewhat mixed results with Peter. For a first commission, I'd be cautious about expecting non-standard details to be nailed down perfectly.
No question about the value though - no where else are you getting a basted jacket fitting for even double his price I would think. The turn around time is also very fast since everything is performed locally. The trousers and shirts are more MTM than bespoke, I probably wouldn't have another shirt made.

Thank you so much for you generous suggestion, do you think I should start with some alterations or casual jacket with Peter and then see where it goes?I have posted a few photos of Tam Tailors pieces in the Ongoing Bespoke Projects thread.
I had a few casual style long sleeve fitted shirts made as well and they are okay for the price but not on the level of Budd bespoke (which is more than double the price).
If I hadn’t met Peter, I’m sure I’d have less than half the suit/ sport coat wardrobe I do have. I’m thinking of visiting him again soon!
It’s totally up to you. He has altered a few items for me at very reasonable cost in a timely way.Thank you so much for you generous suggestion, do you think I should start with some alterations or casual jacket with Peter and then see where it goes?
