Is this the same job that was measured on March 25th? To complete an order for a bespoke pair of shoes in just four month must be a world record.

And a lovely pair they turned out to be.

In this instance, a colour as appropriately try-hard as the bombastic provenance & price.
Shoes are in “grey flannel” as they call it. The photos have inaccurate colour.

It’s not my friend’s pair. 🤓

Ah, the purple trees must be the cause.

Grey, especially this kind of shade, for leather shoes is really cool AF and so underutlised (not to mention ultra-versatile, given the tone).

This in-wear photo looks absolutely amazing.

Are these explicitly Delos-made? If so that makes sense :)

Congratulations.

What is this Gruben oak bark soles they use?
How does it compare to Bakers or Martin tanned leather?
How popular is this Gruben tannery?

It's one of three logos Gerberei Martin in Tuttlingen/Germany uses. Whether the choice of one or the other logo indicates different quality levels, I wouldn't know.

I'm surprised Berluti uses a non-French tannery, they did work (like virtually all the top French houses) with Garat & Fils.

BTW "Gruben" in German means pit (plural). It's not the name of any particular tannery but it indicates the production method they use.
