corona, drink down a tad, mostly just down the neck to where it fans out, and fill with vodka...not sure what it's called but it's not bad at all....only do this when I dont want to eff around and wait to get drunk or if I know the bartender and they hook it up....

also pretty much any beer with whiskey added to it like above is called a boilermaker...pretty much just ends up tasting like a cocktail. damn good but will lead to
boxing[1].gif
or amateurs will insist you measure out a shot of whiskey and drop it in a pint glass....either way works.

You gotta down it quick (the instant you drop the shot in) before the cream curdles. Chunky Guinness isn't very pleasant.

Corona + Bacardi Limon was an interesting experiment. I think it is/was sort of trendy. Didn't really do much for me, was worth a shot though.

Okay, now this is the sort of revolting that I normally avoid. Seems a shame to down Guinness THAT quickly.

Monacos are pretty good. My cousin recommended them after staying with some friends in France.

There are only 4 beer-drinks ever worth drinking:
Boilermaker
Irish Car Bomb
Flaming Dr. Pepper
Black and Tan (this one only in the heat of mid-summer, otherwise: you take off your training-bra and drink your stout like a man)

My personal favorite 'beer + x' combination, though, is surely [beer + *******]. Always a good combo.

As long as you are covering bombs I'd like to add sake bombs. Chopsticks are fun!

I had some extra cranberry juice and a Michelob Ultra someone brought to the house, sooo.....Of course I mixed the two and it wasn't terrible. Doubt I would do this with, say, Sam Adams Winter Lager.

Has anyone ever tried beer + fruit brandy? There's so much palinka here that I'm convinced something like Dreher + peach brandy done boilermaker style would be pretty good.

Beer and brandy is on the rise. I had sip of my gf's lager, laced with raspberry brandy, recently and found it to taste very similar to a carbonated raspberry wine cooler. It's much sweeter and fruitier than a fruity beer like, say, Blue Moon. I did feel like a girly man afterward, though.

Yeah, I could see that happening with raspberry. I think I'm going to try with plum or peach (no ****: "barack" in Hungarian) which are generally less fruity and more alcoholic (100 proof). The mezes (honeyed) palinkas are tasty but would not match beer well, I think.

I'd imagine that honey, being so light in flavor, wouldn't give beer much of a distinct profile. I think the key to this whole thing depends on how sweet the brandy is. If it's very sweet, the beer itself will end up being sweet as well. And sweet beer just tastes odd to me.

Barack palinka is made of apricot.

cseresznye palinka is made of cherry.
