What kind of collar construction does he do? I’m guessing on the firmer side? I am I’m desperate need of a new shirt maker...
Yep. Stiff, likely fused collar. As I said, he’s quite traditional.

How many fittings does he offer and how long does it take for him to make 1 shirt?
Only took me one fitting. Usually takes two weeks, unless you need it sooner. Depends how busy he is.

I was thinking of using them but because I live in Sydney I probably would have to wait for their trunk shows. Are they true bespoke with basted fittings?

Yer proper basted fittings. I have photos somewhere from the first fitting.
I was in Brisbane at the time but came to melb for the fittings. Im not sure how often theyre going to Sydney, but i imagine semi regularly. As mine was for my wedding, i was time sensitive. Like 90% of tailors ive dealt with, the timeframes slipped a little but it all worked out.
I dont wear (or order) nearly as many suits as i did 10 yrs ago, but plan to use them again for a future order.

Just listed some new items on eBay.

Foxie, I don't know whether you are able to do so, but if you can, I think that it's better to list on ebay.com, rather than ebay.com.au.

My understanding (which could be wrong) is that when you do a search on (for example) ebay.com for an item such as C&J shell cordovan boots, the search results default to US listings and you have to specify if you want to view international listings.

Given that the US market is enormously larger than the Oz market, and given that the US dollar is considerably stronger than the Oz dollar, you're better of listing somewhere where it will get lots of views and where you can leverage the USD - AUD difference.

Of course, if I'm wrong about the way that eBay listings work, then please feel free to entirely ignore what I said above!

Hey JM, hope you’re well.
Thanks for the tip, but I’m not so sure. Only based on previous sales last week. I’ve been listing on .com.au, with international postage, and have sold things to US members, but as you say they might have flicked to international listings. Will investigate.
