As Brisbane doesn't seem to have decent shoes except for RMs. where do I find good shoes (oxfords) that I can try on without going to Sydney or Melbourne?

Any tips on where I can sell a few shoes? Got quite a few from Loake back in the days that I haven't been wearing since I'm fully WFH now.

Post them here or straight to Gumtree.

if you can find some local lightly or minimally used quality brand it might be worth while to go out and try them.

I would gather many of us without local brick and mortar access went through the costly process of buying multiple shoes online (new or used) and eventually were able to triangulate what shoes/lasts drom different brand were likely to fit.

Over past 10 years I would have bought 20 or more shoes from different brands and now have 5 pairs in rotation.

Honestly it’s a PITA but there’s not many other ways around it. Except perhaps when you get the chance in Melbourne or Sydney trying out many different shoes at Double Monk.

I have some Orslow jeans (the 105 model) that I would like taken up slightly. Mainly to reduce the depth / volume of the cuff in what is a straight leg jean. Is this a super simple job for anyone or requires some denim expertise? Any recommendations for someone in Brisbane that could do it? Have heard Tess’ is not as good as it once was. Am thinking Leon’s or The Fitting Room in the city.
