This is a Robert Graham bag, originally $298, I got at NM Last Call for $120. It's fake leather, but looks good in person and has a real quality feel to it for nylon or whatever it's made of.

Thoughts on this bag?

If you set up followed searches on eBay to monitor, you will find new old stock briefcases made with full grain leather condition in like new condition at the $120 - $150 price point from time to time. The first point of failure with these pvc or heavily chemically processed leather bags are the handles, which will start to flake and expose the glue.

why a black grenadine tie is considered by some essential? It looks good with a navy or grey suit, but with odd jackets and trousers?
I assume you would probably wear brown shoes with a navy odd jacket and trousers and black and brown don't look very good to me.

What would be a more versatile summer/spring/fall shoe between a light tan/orange-ish calf wingtip oxford , brown or grey/taupe suede oxford? I sort of lean towards the brown suede but the ones I found have strips of smooth leather where the eyelet holes are punched and this bugs me a bit. What's the general opinion on leather and suede mixed in a shoe?
Also , I found a very nice pair of sleek mid to dark brown plain toe bluchers with a medallion toe on sale - should i get these or should i wait for a brown oxford wingtip or cap toe?
I should mention that I'm a high school senior and as such won't be wearing suits any time soon - jacket and odd trousers at most but really just jeans,tan/grey/olive chinos ,brown cords, etc for everyday wear and school. The only other leather shoes I have are a pair of black blucher boots and a pair of black plain toe oxfords.

Brown suede oxfords are good. I'd also say any calf whiskey to mid brown oxford would be a decent choice. Just remember, the darker you go, the more formal you get.

Is a combination suede/leather shoe okay or too frankenstein?

Combo suede/leather shoes are absolutely great if you have the confidence to wear them. I've seen black patent combined with suede in pleasing combinations too.

The only combos I like are saddle shoes. Not really fond of the other stuff.
