Can somone comment on quality of Arnold Brant suits?

There are some solid navy and charcoal Brants on STP for $300 and some discounts can be used. Is Arnold Brant worth having in $200+ range?

Thank you

I just ordered one of the STP models in charcoal. I have a Brant blazer that I wear often. It's a two button, with a high button stance I really like. The fabric isn't great in the blazer (labeled loro piana), but it's durable. The twill pattern could be finer. Shoulder padding is thin to moderate, comparable to hickey freeman. Waist suppression is also similar to HF. Slim guys might have it taken in.

People have commented that the Brant black label made in italy suits use great fabrics, but I haven't seen one.

From my blazer and comments of others, it seems that AB is one of the better options for a new sub $250 suit. The price on STP now is very low!

Arnold Brant suits and sport coats aren't top-of-the-line (many made in Canada btw). But they certainly have unique colors and styles, like Courderoy in Bright Rust and Bright Moss - many times on these sport coats you notice that there are unfinished threads, that's a big no no and demarcates lower quality.

Still though - because they make 'different' patterns and they aren't poor quality Arnold Brant suits make good purchases - my friend recently purchased a very sharp Navy Pinstripe - with a crazy shaped collar that no other designer had.
