Please let me know if you think any of these older silk ties look valid as a classic menswear.

With the possible exception of 13, these are all acceptable ties? I don't know about "valid", but they seem perfectly fine?

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I was promoted into more of an executive role, and I am going through my old business wardrobe and updating for formal and business casual. Some of these ties have sat unused for 10-15 years or more. At the time I was fairly conservative in choosing ties and went with all silk and nothing too flashy.

PS. Have seen several recommendations for a Navy silk Grenadine Tie. Never heard of these back in the day. Shopping for one now.

The silk ties you have are all in fairly conservative, classic styles, so you should be good. A navy grenadine tie is always a nice touch, too, but you'd be set with everything you have right now.

I think 13 is the least classic. Also 6 and 10 are a bit dated. I would favor the others over these three ties. Navy grenadine is a smart addition!

Also, can't tell the tie width from the pics, but some look narrower than others. For me personally, I don't like to wear (or look at) skinny ties that were trendy 5 years ago. My minimum width at the widest part of the tie is 3.5" (3.5" to 3.75" is perfect and classic to me). I bought a tie from an online sale that turned out to be a skinny 3" wide tie...will never wear it.

From the second picture: 3, 4, 5, and 14 seem okay. I would personally get rid of the rest.

With exception of No:13, No:5 in first photo navy and No:3 on second photo, both looks fine to certain degree. The rest you can pull them off with a good suit, but in general they will look dated and and kinda of to generic IMO.

I might add that at least in the photo they all seem be on the shiny side. Depending on the rest of your wardrobe you might try something with more of a matte finish.

They're all fine imo, but if you haven't worn them in 10-15 years and probably won't, then it may be a good idea to give them away.

Personally, my least favorite is #7, if it's a very smooth, shiny satin, which it looks like. 8 and 15 would be next to go imo, then 6 and 4 in the first set. I like 13, as it has a jazz vibe to it. But it might not be ideal for work, depending on what you do. My favorites are 3, 4, and 5 in the second pic.
