As much trouble as I've been having with them lately on the using the card side of things, I can't imagine how bad the other end could be. I don't know if the lesson I learned applies to merchants, but I learned to immediately ask for a supervisor if there is a problem. It's like the regular customer service reps are reading from a script and have absolutely no capability to reason or process information on their own.
