I thought the wealthy (and presumably powerful) only pay in cash!

As much trouble as I've been having with them lately on the using the card side of things, I can't imagine how bad the other end could be. I don't know if the lesson I learned applies to merchants, but I learned to immediately ask for a supervisor if there is a problem. It's like the regular customer service reps are reading from a script and have absolutely no capability to reason or process information on their own. At least the ones I've been dealing with.

I asked to speak to my customer service rep and was told I didn't have one. I'm not huge, but a do well over a million a year with them and I have an extremely high average sale, so for each swipe they are making a way above average profit.

Well, let's see. He's one of the 10 most powerful people in the world and he's taking the shirt on his next trip to Iraq! Is it Rummy?

C'mon, tgfny, you can tell us. We all have respect for Rummy!

For years, I always cited Amex customer service as the best out there. Then in the space of a few months I've run into a number of maddening issues with them. I suppose it could just be bad luck though.
