First time back with this in I don’t even know how long. Never going to be confused with Laphroaig, but man this came out of the bottle WAY smokier than I recalled. Interesting.

Really fun little pour. Nose (big tar and smoke, Ardbeg-ian) and palate (big sweet fruit with a dash of ash) are at complete odds to me.

Cannot to see how this one ages.

Hi! New to this thread and usually go to the Macallan 12 Sherry Oak or Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask, but I'm looking to pick up the Balvenie 21 Port Wood. I'd be interested to know if anyone here has tried the Balvenie 14 Bourbon Cask (from the Collection of Curious Casks) -- I've seen it around and wanted to try it, but haven't picked up a bottle yet.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
