Those McAllisters look very much like Jeffersons I have! Nice!

Yeah the wheeling and fudging (I think it has that haha) gives it a different look compared to the normal McAllister. These were a webgem from early 2012, not sure how seconds showed up on the shoebank website earlier this year but I jumped on them.

You can tell the difference by the lacing area and also the way the wingtip rides up against the perforations across the side. I don't know the proper terms at the moment, but just look at the wingtips between the two from a side view. The Jefferson has a better pattern IMO. Less busy.

Olive has been listed by AE as an available color to myself and apparently several others. I'm not sure if they've been spotted in the wild or not. Either way, anyone looking for Olive could at least try asking if it's available without a SMU/MTO fee.

Really? Where are you seeing this???????

I checked with @garland during the truck show and it seems AE has a SKU for this, but it isn't in production.

Im assuming you have other pairs on that same last in the same size, but it looks like they are too big for you. Going down a width may be best… but thats just my two cents.

Enjoy them, they look great!

8C actually fits me perfectly...I laced them up very tight which is why there's no gap...but once I started walking, it opened up....I actually used to buy 8D and sometimes 7.5D but I went back for a fitting at AE and after trying 4 or 5 different sizes, my SA and I finally agreed on 8C....have about 4 pairs now and they all fit perfect....

Please recommend an AE style/model in darker tan/brown, maybe something with a shaded tan to darker brown toe. A style with more the Euro or Italian look? Toward the more formal than casual.

Just searching......

Thanks and cheers......

I remember a discussion on here a while back about tongue/instep pads. Where do you guys get them? I need some thicker ones for a pair of boots!

How long did you end up waiting? I'm about five weeks waiting for my brown shell PAs.

New to this thread, but have been buying AEs for a couple of years - Fifth Ave in Walnut, Park Ave in Brown and Black McCallisters. Just ordered two more pairs - Franciscan in Black and LaSalle in Chili. What kind of belt would you wear with the Chili? I have a dark brown belt f as well as the Manistee belt in Walnut - both from AE.

thnx!
