Spring is just a mental state. If you are wearing spectators, it's Spring already, friend!

Today was boots (accidentally) doing boot things. Went out for a morning meetup and Starbucks, took the black Liverpools. Was supposed to change before going on a relatively tepid flat 3 mile hike, but got asked to help move some items for a friend between storage units prior to that. Finished up too late to change, so off I went a-hiking in dainite soles and turn ups. All in all, not too bad. Needed a brushing after getting back, for sure.

Stopped by the AE store today. What did I learn? They are having as many issues with the new system as we are having. New style numbers have not all been loaded apparently. Second thing I noticed in the store was a customer/vandal smashing in the toe counter of a Suede Patton. Of course I had to pull up the ability to explain to him that he was making the shoe unsellable without loosing my ****. I nicely explained that I wear a size that is often displayed and that Patton was in my size. But now I have to order one because pushing in on the toe counter until it pops is terrible for the long term health of the shoe. That guy cratered the toe puff and it didn’t pop back. Unfortunately, this seems to be the standard practice of the uninformed shoe buying public.

One last lesson for me today. I should wear more standard makeups when I visit an AE store. 3 customers asked me about getting an AE spectator as I was browsing all the styles that I have seen a thousand times. I guess having male anatomy and not looking like I just rolled out bed must mean that I am an employee. Two of the guys seemed sad when I told them that these were a special offering.
