So interesting thing, I was at the shoe store this morning because I need new sandals to beat around the house and for fun I stepped on the brannock device.
It said heel-toe is exactly 12, heel-ball is 13, and width looked like B/C.

If I buy sneakers I can't wear a 12, there is no room in the toe box, even in most 13's my toes are at the very end of the shoe.

My Jinglebellmok's are a 12E and they are snug, big V-gap and almost pinch where the wings meet the welt.

Higgins Mill 12D I need to shoe horn in my foot and had to switch to round laces to more easily loosen the boot to get my foot in and out, they are snug all over and basically the exact size of my foot

Pattons 12D room for days, super comfortable.

Other Strandmok's 12.5 D and E thinking since they have been breaking in D is a better fit now that they are loosening up.

Dalton's 13D, thinking if I tried a 12 I would need to start at EE, because they are snug width wise.

Nomad shortwings 13D, though these fit well 42N last I believe?

Long story short I'm all over the place and still haven't nailed down my size or a last that works well for me.
High arched?

Definitely not flat, maybe higher instep as well, I do find the pressure area on most my AE shoes to be around the instep/laces area of the shoe,

I guess the 65 doesn't work for me like most people, it's sad because their best designs are on that last

Have you tried anything on the 201 last?

Just not sure what size to try, closest store to me is D.C. and it's about 3h drive, don't wanna do that just to try on shoes

Not a lot of size options either on the 201.

Wearing snuff suede Neumoks today.

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, a tree, some roses and me. Lo and behold, once again my shoes and belt do not match.

No food picture today since had two things on my forehead frozen at UCLA Medical Center and didn't want anyone out there in cyberspace to see the two red things (which are small in this picture) up close.

Will now try to make up for the missing food picture, for fans of technology pictures in shoe threads, a picture of some iPhones and me at the Apple Store in the Century City (West Los Angeles) mall.

Took the iMac, iPad, and iPhone to the Apple Store to have them updated. The internet connection (AT&T) where I am staying is so slow couldn't update anything. It's like being on dial up again,

It was nice to once again see the iMac zipping around the internet instead of having time to get something to eat while waiting for a webpage to open, if it opens at all.
You're a national treasure, friend.

It sounds like for the most part your shoes have been too small and your feet would be happier in something larger.

Brannock & especially that heel to ball vs heel to toe stuff can be misleading. Everything needs to fit, whatever the numbers and letters. Some lasts won’t really work in any size or width. It could be that what works for you comes from some other maker.

As for mass market sneakers, they generally have a kind of vanity sizing. I usually need to go up a size from Brannock even if i’m a C (almost B) width. I’ve bought them in Brannock and they end up hurting my feet.

Well I've worn off the rack sneakers and boots all my life, 13 has served me well,
Now that I discovered Goodyear Welted shoes and AE I've been having my sizing issues

Feet change. I’m 2 sneaker sizes above where i was in my twenties, and that is 2 sizes above my size in Vibergs and Aldens, 1 size above what i wear in most AEs.

That's amazing customer service. I dont own any shoes from the other company that starts what an A, but people like to bash AE and say the other company is better.
I browse the other thread and I dont see anyone getting treated with the level of care that is offered over here!
