Apropos of conversations about whether Walnut is appropriate with dark navy pants, I figured I’d wear my Chili Hersey’s today as a f**k you to the rules. I believe these were before they switched to “Dark Chili” so they are rather bright. That, combined with the woven vamp and the split toe, make these shoes like a neon sign saying “look at my shoes!” I’m ok with that.

So I just noticed 2 odd prices while looking at the inventory on shoebank which I hope are errors. Park Ave Dark Chili Dainite (5621S) at $314.00 and Delray Bourbon at $395.00. I hope $314 isn't the new baseline vs $299 or $249. I have to assume $395 is a typo because the alternative explanations don't really make sense.

Merlot Strands today. I still get a v-gap with my low instep on the 65 last.

Thanks for the info. I was interested in trying the MacNeil 2.0 to see how the higher toe box fits. But sounds like it was a dud. Also probably changes the look of the shoe too much.

Not a fan of Poron; but I actually never have tried as it as a fit solution.
The the 2.0 and 1.0 are both on th 7 last.

It's possible those are leftovers from limited edition runs and not seconds, so the prices may be correct. They sometimes send these to the Shoebank.

True though usually not accompanied with the 'S' at the end of the model number. I've purchased a pair or 2 that were just marked down limited runs or closeouts that showed up on the bank but they didn't have the 'S' notation on them. Actually have seen this with belts as well.

A pleasant Monday to you, fellow enthusiasts. Feeling the spring vibes today. Banana Republic herringbone pants, J Crew OCBD, Gap slub merino v-neck, brown Dundees.

Good news. My long-awaited Brooks Brothers Aldens are arriving today, so I got that going for me.
