I have been wearing a pair of AE Dryden's (Last no.2) all summer and before I buy another pair of AE shoes, I ned to get my sizing nailed down a little more. I wear a 9D in almost every other shoe I own but the AE no.2 last is a bit roomy. I can still get through the day fine - they don't hurt my feet, but the bal laces completely touch and there is just some extra space. I think a narrower 9 would probably have fit perfect. My next purchase is a pair of PAs -- how does that no.5 compare to the no.2?

I would suggest starting with the same size (9D) for the Park Ave. The #5 is a narrow last so it should be a good fit based on your comments.

To add on to this, can anyone give a description of the various lasts for AE - thin vs. wide, high arch vs. lower? Where do the list the last on the web site? What else is useful to know?

Thought of an insole to solve this problem?
