The moment you are moving and realize your Hober collection requires its own carry on...

Are you bragging or complaining?

Hi all,

I've seen a couple pictures of a tie no longer in stock (Macclesfield 136) that I love (2 pics from the internet below). Hard to figure out background color on the internet. Does anyone who owns it have a sense of which of the current in stock ties might be close in terms of background color? Thanks.

Best person to ask is probably David. If you email him I am certain he will respond quickly. :nodding:

First post. I think the best thing I have gotten from style forum is finding out about Sam Hober ties. Purple and black grenadine fina. 7 cm, 4 fold and a white linen Hober 12 in. square. If I ever grow up and get ties 8 cm wide or more I can't imagine how great they will knot. I got a few more, will post pics.

Has there ever been a resolution as to what is a more "true" navy for the Grenadine ties? The "navy" or the "midnight blue"?

The navy fina is a shade lighter than what I would call navy. Don't have the midnight so I can't compare.

Yes, I believe it's Midnight Fina, Midnight Picolla, Navy Fina in order of darkest to lightest with the midnight picolla being the closest to a true navy.
