A Sam (and David) Hober Tie Appreciation Thread

IMO, there is little to chose between the two as far as texture goes.  More importantly, and I think you can see it from the photo above, is that the colors often vary slightly among the different weaves.  

It would be interesting to know if some of you guys have a preference for either the fina or picolla.  Same for grossa vs prometeo.  

Fina is probably my favorite of the four weaves.

Today's Hober is a repeat and is the English pattern #2 (3-fold construction).

The Pattern Silks are so... Diverse. Some of them, like your tie today, are terrific. Some are... An acquired taste, I suppose.

Nope. It's a grossa. Probably just the photography.

The reds seem to vary a lot in the photos. If you look back at some of the previous photos in the thread, sometimes the burgundies will look even lighter than the dark reds. It depends on the camera and the light I guess.

I feel like I have a few ties that PP doesn't, though mostly things that have been discontinued at some point between when I started buying in 2006 and when PP entered the fray (which I suspect was a bit later on).
