I've been at it for several years now. It was a very long road to where I am now with lots of injuries along the way because of bad form and sometimes bad luck. Feeling good about the progress, particularly the aesthetics. Often get compliments when wearing slim-fitting fashions. :D

Do you pretty much stick to plyo now or do you lift too? Have you cracked 30K pull-ups for this year yet? You and planetarium must have half the total on the pull-up thread between you!

+ 200 = 107,627

at 26,300 so far compared to 21k last year, won't crack 30k unless there's some kinda miracle
what are you at jay (if you keep track)?
I don't keep track. All of mine are logged here so I suppose I could go back to the beginning of the year and add them up.

Taking the next couple of days off, not because I want to, but because I decided to stay at a different hotel in Chicago. No pull up bar. :(

gonna be backpacking til sunday evening so a few days off for me too!
was able to hit three pull-ups with the pack on, over 1/3 of my body weight
feels good man, attaining new physical skills like this is why i do calisthenics, yoga, and kettlebells
i still get inspiration from learning about other methods and watching strongman competitions, but i've found what keeps me motivated and what works for my body type

respect for and between all athletes :)

I've not had much experience with kettlebells, but want to eventually work them into my routine. I have a friend who uses them exclusively and swears by them. I need him to help me develop good form so I don't injure myself.

I do 28kg one arm swings for 40 minutes sometimes, it completely ruins your upper body. I hit 400 last time.

I have been doing standing strict presses instead of pull ups the last couple of months, just to mix it up.

I've been at chins and push-ups as my main upper body exercises for several months now and the function of my shoulders and t-spine are constantly improving. It feels really good to have my body working properly after f'ing up my shoulders bench pressing.

You guys are inspiring me. It's too bad my bar doesn't fit on any of the doors at my apartment. I need to get one of those old-school bars that twists into place in the doorframe. Doing to the gym just for chins is a pain.
