I feel your pain. It can be difficult. I use this pattern https://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/straighteuropeanlacing.htm but I end it one hole from the top and then just cross over for the last hole. Why do you say that? Are you challenging my claim that they both fit more or less the same despite the difference in the overall length of the boots? You say you have experience with both of these lasts, was it the length of the shoes/boots that were different? Obviously my foot doesn't taper...- Hurlazza4
