    Buying my first suit

Have you read the giant SuitSupply thread? Wealth of information there. I'm 5'11'' ~155 lbs, judging by your picture I think we have similar builds. Just finished tailoring up a 36r Sienna from SuitSupply, and the fit sounds like what you are looking for. The Sienna isn't as slim fitting as...

    Personal savings rate?

Have a monthly saving goal of saving 65%, and usually exceed it. Am just a year out of school so living drastically below my means doesn't impact my quality of life. I figure savings will decline a fair amount in a couple years when I have established myself a little more.

    International Business major

When I was in school we made fun of the international business students because their field of study gave them no real discernible skills. Take finance or accounting, you'll actually learn something useful.

Dude Figures Out How the Pyramids and Stonehenge Were Constructed

I've watched a few documentaries on Stonehenge with fancy academics proposing all sorts of intricate theories on how Stonehenge was created. They have no clue how it was done, and a retired construction worker figures it out in his backyard. Go figure.

What I've Learned in Business So Far...

Great thread. Kind of off topic, but didn't want to start a new thread for this. Anyone have experience in strategic/business development? Specifically, I have an opportunity to move into strategic development as an analyst at an oil and gas company and was wondering if anyone here has any...

    Thoughts on this: www.ibcareerpath.com

Frankly though, very few (if any) people successfully make the move from retail banking to investment banking. But IB is so far out of the OP's possibilities right not that it's a moot point anyways. He should be looking at doing the retail to back office/ops switch if he's really dead set on...

    Thoughts on this: www.ibcareerpath.com

So what sort of jobs do I look for? Honestly, I have no clue how being a teller can ever get me into a F500 firm as a consultant or analyst. Working sales will only lead me to be a sales manager and then a district manager of sales etc.. I'm not keen on working somewhere where I could have...

    lefty's random dog thread.

I am hearing the story second hand, but the wife of a friend's brother just recently had a baby, and they put their dog up in a boarding facility during the birth. When he went to pick up the dog, she was bleeding from one eye and had blood coming from her nose and mouth. Facility claimed not to...

    Any other Edmontonians here?

Mostly, yeah. I've only been there twice, and don't plan on going back after the sales assistant looked at me like I was crazy when I asked where the Golden Fleece suits were.

    Any other Edmontonians here?

On that note maybe someday we can try for a Calgary meet-up. Hell yeah. So is it worth going to the factory store or is the quality just not there? I'm mostly thinking of Peal & Co. shoes. Quality really isn't there in the outlet store, but they do have some decent deals on shirts/ties. The...

Math Problem taking the Internet by storm

Notation is sloppy, but as given the answer is 288. PEMDAS says the brackets would be resolved first, than multiplication and division would be resolved from left to right. 48÷2(9+3) 48÷2(12) 24(12) 288 Answer would be 2 if it was written 48÷(2(9+3)). Could also argue that the answer would...

    The Excel Questions Thread

Let's say that you have three sheets that you want the drop down box to be able to select from, plus a title page where your drop down box is located. Say the three sheets are cleverly titled Sheet1, Sheet2, and Sheet3. Say the title page is titled Title. On the Title Page create a Combo Box...

Met this chick and I practically screwed myself.

If you actually texted what you posted above you came off as desperate. Smiley faces didn't help your cause, either.

    The Excel Questions Thread

So I've got a model template that I've built. I want to add a print feature to the table of contents page that would allow my boss (or whoever) to select a particular tab from a drop down menu and hit a button that would print off the pre-determined print area from the tab they desire info from...
