I have black AE shoes and OSB boots, both of which have black Dainite soles. Comparing them against the Harlech's soles definitely shows a difference. I think the shade of brown is just pretty dark and hard to differentiate unless placed next to a black sole.- ryantaylor05

For some reason, I was expecting shiny brass hardware but definitely prefer the antique brass look. And I find the 341 last to be huge. Luckily I was able to get properly sized at the NYC shop. Just fyi, I got in on the Whiskey Harlech due to be shipped in October. I'm a 9D barrie and 9.5D grant. For the Harlech, I ended up going with an 8E as the 8.5E had too much volume for me and the length seemed fine in the 8E so long as I wear a thinner sock. My preference would be navy shell, as I'm expecting the Whiskey Harlech in October. I also lean towards non-brass hardware. The contrast may be a little too much on a darker shade of shell for me. And is the Dundee make up 100% decided? I may not want as much broguing but that's not a deal...- ryantaylor05

I just received these new PCT boots in Shell Color 8 from TheShoeMart. The blotches and unevenness of the color are pretty concerning (especially the vamp on the right boot). I'm planning to return but was curious to know other's thoughts.- ryantaylor05
