Alden x Leffot Saddle Shoe - Unglazed Cigar Shell Cordovan and Snuff Suede - 8D Barrie Last

Released in 2012, these Alden saddle shoes were a special release from Leffot, a New York based shoe store. They have been worn sparingly over the time that I have owned them (I own 20+ pairs of Aldens). These are extremely rare as they use unglazed cigar shell cordovan and snuff suede for the...

    Poor man's watch thread

New purchase. I'm debating if I keep this one or try to resell. JeanRichard Terrascope - 1/25 collaboration with Gully. Outside of a tiny scratch, I don't see any signs of wear. Full kit and still has it's stickers on the watch. Feels like it probably belongs in a collectors watch box rather...

Skoaktiebolaget – Enzo Bonafé, Saint Crispin’s, Löf & Tung

For what it's worth, I'm an 8D on the Alden Barrie. 8.5 US in sneakers and was a 41 in the Danny.

Skoaktiebolaget – Enzo Bonafé, Saint Crispin’s, Löf & Tung

It was 36C here in Austin yesterday (back to 26 today). Far too warm for April! The fit seems true-to-size. I'm an 8.5 US and I ordered a 41 EU based on the sizing recommendation and it seems to fit well. The leather is quite supple, so they were comfortable from day one.

Skoaktiebolaget – Enzo Bonafé, Saint Crispin’s, Löf & Tung

I picked up a pair of "Löf & Tung Danny Sportif Oak Tärnsjö Grain" sneakers last week. Really enjoying them so far - the fit is great and they were instantly comfortable without needing to break them in.

    Poor man's watch thread

Not really a collab per say, Swatch owns Omega. I think they're really cool though. The design looks great and the price point is really competitive. I would have considered buying "Mission to Uranus" (😆) for my wife, but 42mm is massive. I can't believe the prices people are listing these...

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

I have a somewhat silly question - I have an abundance of #8 and dark brown boots / shoes. My favorite leather jacket is light brown, and I'm assuming mixing the two is not a great idea. Would dark brown or black be a better color combination? Or perhaps this olive green? (This is the Thedi...

Time for an upgrade? SBGY003 is nice, but MUCH more expensive. For what it's worth, I don't think a 30 second per day difference is that terrible. If I REALLY need to know the time down to the second, I'll just grab my phone.

Adidas Leistung 16 II for me when I'm working on oly/power lifting. They're fairly comfortable. Strike Mvmnt Haze for everything else.

    Poor man's watch thread

I don't think the Prospex watch is bad looking, but why didn't they make it a GS? Very strange. This article came out a couple months back and Seiko's president is quoted as saying "Seiko has become a brand of no clear identity." Seems to ring true.

    Poor man's watch thread

Not to derail too much, but I really don't understand Seiko's marketing approach. Their new Seiko Prospex SNR051 has an MSRP of $5,500. The entry level for the Prospex line is ~$400? Why would I want a $5,500 Seiko Prospex versus a Grand Seiko that is comparable in price? (Coming from a Seiko...

    Poor man's watch thread

SAGN009 - I believe this is from 1999. Retrograde day function. Date and independent GMT hand as well. Little busy, but I dug the unusual case shape (Japanese "AP Royal Oak"). I need to adjust the screws on the bezel at some point.

New to me, Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Roberto Clemente limited edition. I've always had a soft spot for the Oris BC; just a simple, but well executed design.. This particular one came with a "signed" Roberto Clemente baseball and profits were donated to the Roberto Clemente Foundation. The back...

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

Thanks, I shortened the torso by .5" and the sleeves as well. Pretty much it! Couple of views of the grain. The beeswax that he uses really helps showcase the grain.

Congrats! So many great details on these jackets. As a heads up, it was about a 6 month wait for delivery.

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

My Thedi MTC-127996 Leather Jacket in Cognac Buffalo with a detachable mouton collar was just delivered. Matches my Pigeon Tree Tärnsjö belt almost perfectly. Olive cotton liner. I had Thedi add a second interior pocket. I also didn't want it to be too heavily washed.

SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

Hey folks, I was hoping for some quick feedback on sizing. I generally wear an Epaulet medium for shirts and they fit me well with the exception of my neck, hah. I'm usually a 38S in suits and have a 16.5" neck. How does that translate to Spier & Mackay shirt sizing?

The Japanese Repro Clothing Thread (Real McCoys, Freewheelers, Etc.)

I have the same peacoat (3 winters). It's a little tight around the armholes/shoulders for me, but otherwise, I think it's an excellent design and seriously warm.
